The Kitchn: Electric fork
Merry Christmas to all! Hope you have a lot of delicious treats in store over the long weekend.
You probably have an electric knife — heck, you might even be hauling it out to carve your Christmas ham or prime rib — but I bet you don’t have an electric fork.
Think you might need one? Check out my guest post today on The Kitchn, Apartment Therapy’s food site, for the story of my family’s silly holiday tradition.

That’s brilliant . . . do you still have a functional electric knife to use in the setup?

Oh heck yes — we love our electric knife. In addition to making short work of roasts, it’s the best thing for cubing up lots of bread for stuffing or meatballs.

Went to Alexandria for the Christmas holiday. Heard about the electric knife when Matt got out his new electric knife to carve a beautiful standing rib roast on Christmas day. Our family has an extremely ugly clip on bow tie that is passed among the men of the family on Christmas. As a matter of fact, it didn’t surface this year. Not unusual. I first received it when I was 10.

I meant to say electric “fork”. Old people often make such mistakes. Besides, it is cold here.

Larry, I am so glad you heard about the fork — I only wish I had gotten one to give to Patti & Matt in time for you to be the next victim 🙂
