Encore jam session

(c)2009 AEC *all rights reserved*Thanks to Sandy Gluck from Martha Stewart Living Radio‘s Everyday Food. She gave her listeners a shout-out to our Tomato-Bourbon Jam. We use it as a homemade replacement for ketchup, or as the secret ingredient in wintertime BLTs.

It’s still a little early for tomatoes, but if you’ve got hothouse tomatoes at your farmers market, as we do, this is one place where they do pretty well.

Congratulations indeed…

I made this once and it came out a bit sweet for me; I need to cut back on the sugar and give it another go, though, ’cause it was *good*.

Oh fantastic! As soon as my tomatoes come in, I’ll definitely have to give this a go.

Oh ketchup, why won’t it disappear? It’s a shame that this sugary vinegar laden crap made with the worst of the worst tomatoes should be our national sauce. Thank you for bringing this to my attention as it sounds absolutely delicious.
