A perfectly respectable 13 eh? We like that number in our bars ’round these parts apparently. It’s a good cross section and they are all very deserving joints (and slingers of course).

Sounds fun (and even better for only ten bucks). We’ve been looking to expand our drink repertoire. Thanks, Anita!

Oh, and I’ve recently begun an unhealthy obsession with the beer I had at Resto, the Westmalle Dubbel. At $6 per bottle, it’s a little out of control but I can’t resist. (Doesn’t help that we have only of the country’s best liquor stores across the street from our house.)

Erik: Yep. Well, other than the whole chapter of pitcher drinks from Duggan. The format's totally different this year; they're not featuring rank-and-file bartender recipes nearly as much, only in the chapter of Mixologists' Drinks. So 3 recipes out of 18 is actually a pretty impressive showing.

Genie: You know, the excitement's more about the excuse to get together and try new drinks than the guide, per se. But it's kind of fun to see how it lines up with your own opinions.
