I keep falling off the wagon. Every few months I take the same pledge - no new cookbooks without vetting them! And then I succumb. I am mad for Indian and SE Asian cookbooks - I must have fifty Indian cookbooks alone, and am just incapable of restraint there...

what a great combination...I was laughing at your cookbook regime...since I moved into a in-law cottage I've had to curb my habit. the additional upside is that I use more of the cookbooks I have and only solid additions are made!

Great find. I would never have tried a drink with muddled sage without a recommendation. It adds a nice bitters-like complement to the peach flavor.

I made one tonight with half a donut peach and Rittenhouse BnB rye. I'm glad I bought those peach bitters now. The only changes I would make are to up the base spirit to 2 oz and the lemon to 1/2 oz to 1 oz.

My boss got me both this book and a book on peacebuilding (the topic I'm studying in grad school) for a going away present. I don't think I'll tell my professors that I've read The Art of the Bar much more thoroughly than the other book.

Peach and Herb sound like a rocking combination.

I too have a weakness for books. In fact I wonder about people who don't. For me it's Cookbooks and Photo books. Cookbooks with great photos - even better!
