SistaWoo: I know you're right about the sink -- we've lived through it before once, when we were doing all the work ourselves. I keep deluding myself that it will be easier now that we have professionals doing the work, but there's this nagging doubt that, really, it will be worse because it will be out of our control.

Paper Plates. Paper towels. Lots of take-out. These things are only because, of all things, you will miss your kitchen sink the very most. Good luck with the remodel - I did mine last year, and now I just LIVE in the kitchen.

Tana: That's the one we got! I did a LOT of research, and the Cuisinart gets the best reviews for the kinds of stuff we'll be making. We've been through a kitchen remodel before, and survived -- and that was when we were doing most of the work ourselves!

And yes, Cookie... paper plates are definitely on the list of provisions!

I love my Cuisinart 175-BC Convection Toaster Oven/Broiler...I use it every single day, and have only used my big oven a handful of times since I got it. I can roast a chicken, make pizzas, you name it. Squeat Mungry turned me onto it.

Word to the wise: my husband is a contractor, and he says a kitchen remodel can be the biggest challenge, even to a HAPPY marriage. Good luck!
