I'll have to make a point of dining there soon. By the way, Isaan is not a province but an entire region of Thailand with it's own cuisine. I'm glad you appreciate Isaan food being on the menue, as it provides a nice break from Thai food, especially when served with sticky rice.

I went last week for the lunch buffet with Mom and our friend M -- what a tremendous disappointment! Their website says the buffet is served until 2:30, but when we arrived at 1:45, we noticed a sign in the window (dated 2003!) saying lunch ends at 2. The buffet was totally picked over, they didn't restock any of the interesting items, half of the trays were full of either non-thai food (tempura? egg-drop soup?) or filler (shrimp chips, fried wonton skins). One curry, one stir fry, one thai soup... and all of it lukewarm. The only salad was iceberg and miso dressing. Nobody every asked us if we wanted drinks, we had to beg for water refills. Avoid at all costs.

We've eaten here! This is remarkable considering how little time we've spent in Vegas, and as you say the somewhat remote location and rough-and-tumble feel of the place. We were there on a press trip, so it was so refreshing to eat at a place away from the strip.
